Representatives from Active Electrical Suppliers Ltd attended the annual Wintec Wāhine in Trades and Engineering Information Day on 26 August 2026, where six inspiring wāhine shared their unique journeys into successful careers in trades and engineering.

Their stories highlighted opportunities across construction, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, plumbing, culinary arts, and stainless steel engineering business ownership.

A special acknowledgement goes to Amy Opperman, Kaiwhakahaere Rōpū / Team Manager, Plumbing & Industrial Measurement Control (IMC), and Global Women Breakthrough Leaders 2025 MEdLship (Hons), for leading and organising this outstanding initiative.

Now in its 6th year, the event continues to inspire and empower wāhine to pursue careers in trades and engineering.
